Dare to be different!

We now offer three classes via the Internet: ENGL 1301 Freshman Composition I, ENGL 1302 Freshman Composition II, and ENGL 2323 Masterworks of English Literature II.

In addition to the prerequisites listed in the Amarillo College Catalog, you will need to make certain that you meet the following technical requirements if you wish to be successful in one of these courses:

an Internet Service Provider offering at least a 28.8k connection speed
a reliable email program that you are comfortable using
a word-processing program (Microsoft Word or WordPerfect recommended)
basic computer literacy

If you are unfamiliar with the Internet, email, and/or a word processor, these classes are not for you. However, if you feel comfortable with all of the above and are

self-motivated;
would like a class without a confining schedule; and
close, regular contact with your instructor and your classmates is important

then an online class is for you! If you are interested, please register following the regular college procedures. Once you are officially registered, follow the instructions below:

For ENGL 1301 Freshman Composition I:
Send an email to your instructor, Dr. David Zimmermann, at dhzimmer@actx.edu. Type 1301 in the SUBJECT heading and put your name in the body of the message. You will receive instructions for the class upon receipt.

For ENGL 1302 Freshman Composition II:
Send an email to your instructor, Dr. Scott Foll, at comp1302@swbell.net. Type comp2 in the SUBJECT heading and put your name in the body of the message. You will receive instructions for the class upon receipt.

For ENGL 2323 Masterworks of English Literature II:
Send an email to your instructor, Dr. Scott Foll, at en_mail@swbell.net. Type Hello in the SUBJECT heading and put your name in the body of the message. You will receive instructions for the class upon receipt.
